In collaboration with SwissRe, one of the world’s largest reinsurance company, we propose a counterfactual-based framework to score the riskiness of different AVs’ behaviors. The core idea is to measure in logged data where no rare events occur what is the smallest counterfactual perturbation (i.e., misbehavior of others) that could have led to a collision.
